Besides our leading position for GRP-pipes and piping systems for many industrial applications such as chemical, energy and marine industry, Fiberdur® is also nationally and internationally operating in the water-well industry.
We supply a wide range of products made from GRP, stainless steel and from other materials related to the water-well industry.
These products like casings, screens, riser pipes and their accessories are mainly used in water wells.
These pipes have a lot of advantages:
- quick installation and easy handling due to low weight and pipe lengths of 10 m
- long durability at constant high flow rate
- less expenditure of service and maintenance due to corrosion free properties
- very economic in comparison to stainless steel, especially towards high-graded stainless steel qualities at installation in agressive media conditions
- higher strength properties than stainless steel related to strength to weight ratio
- lower thermal expansion than stainless steel
- greater tensile strength compared to stainless steel pipes
- good characteristics in case of pressure blast due to absorbin charateristics of material
- favourable flow characteristics due to dimensional accuracy of insidediameters, long pipe lengths and elastic pipe joints
- little risk of incrustation or even bacteria’s growth due to smooth surface
- no electro-chemical corrosion like in combined installations of steel (casings) and screens (stainless steel)
- additional cathodic protection wells are not necessary
- high surface stability, tensile and flexural strength due to imbedded reinforced rovings (UD-rovings)
- reasonable delivery times
- price stability over long period
- high temperature stability in comparison to thermoplastics
